Job Description

Our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team works with clients to manage their capital agenda to drive competitive advantage and increased returns. As part of a global team of 10,000 professionals in 100 countries you will advise clients on preserving, optimizing, raising or investing capital. Major groups (or, as we call them, sub-service lines and competencies) within TAS include Mergers and Acquisition Services, Project Finance & Infrastructure, Restructuring Services, Operational Transaction Services, Transaction Support, Corporate Finance Strategy, 
Transaction Tax, and Valuation, Business Modelling and Economic Advisory.
Our Infrastructure Advisory team advises clients on financial, procurement, strategic and public-private partnerships issues for large-scale infrastructure projects and programs. With over US$5 trillion expected to be spent on infrastructure in the region over the next 20 years, you will be assisting our clients in developing some of the most interesting and challenging projects in the world.  We work for all levels of government, private developers, contractors and investors.   Join this team and you will help provide support to our clients from the earliest stages of analysis project evaluation to procurement, financial close, construction and operations.
The role:
  • Develop knowledge and substantial experience in relevant industry sectors
  • Understand and interpret the client’s needs
  • Understand all key financial and commercial implications of the assignment
  • Have an ability to challenge assumptions being made in an assignment
  • Build and run a financial model
  • Interpret data from the financial model in order to inform the client
  • Draft project briefs, term sheets and information memoranda with strong attention to detail
  • Draft tender documentation
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams, both internally (involving other competencies at EY), as well as externally (with specialist teams – lawyers, engineers, bankers, etc).
  • Manage and build high performing teams and deliver exceptional client service
  • Build broad and deep internal and external networks; accept responsibility to build sustainable accounts with key clients and deliver sales targets as agreed
Qualifications – Internal
To qualify, candidates must have:
  • Sector specific experience: Transportation or Social Infrastructure (Education, Healthcare, Housing) or Energy (Power & utilities, Oil & Gas) or Real estate
  • Technical skills required: Financial Modelling, Valuation, Financial Analysis, etc.
  • Qualifications: CFA/ MBA/ Masters, etc
  • Years’ experience: 4 - 8 years post qualification experience
  • Language requirements: Arabic language skills are preferable
  • Industry experience - Relevant consulting and Infrastructure industry sector experience
  • Proven track record in client facing and relationship building roles
  • Team management experience
  • Geographic area experience is a bonus
  • Travel expectations – Regular regional travel across the MENA region
