We act for a Big 4 client seeking a Senior Manager / Manager for its Dublin office.
We currently have management opportunities in our client's insurance tax team to work with several leading domestic and international insurance clients. Candidates will have an opportunity to:
Further their knowledge of the insurance sector
Develop their sector profile
Contribute to and develop sector thought leadership for external publication
Provide business tax services including audit support, tax reporting, compliance, tax planning and transaction support
Development network contacts outside Ireland in the insurance sector
contribute to the global insurance network
The successful candidate will be joining a growing sector that has immediate opportunities for progression. The candidate will also be given further opportunities outside insurance (if desired) to work in the broader financial services sector.
What will you be doing?
Excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing Tax group in Dublin where you will be part of a strong team and you will receive exposure to some of client's most diverse and exciting clients. We are currently seeking applications from suitable candidates to join the client’s tax practice.
Working as part of a team, your primary responsibilities will include:
Build and maintain tax relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service.
Build relationships both within the firm and externally with clients, identifying opportunities and managing expectations.
Contribute to winning new work by proactively managing existing clients and contribute to winning new clients.
Manage the successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and practical/business driven approach taken.
Reporting directly to Senior Management including Tax Partner.
Responsible for day-to-day delivery of client liaison
What do we look for?
Requirements for prospective candidates include:
AITI qualified with 2-3 years’ relevant Corporate Tax experience
Qualified Accountant would be desirable but not obligatory for application
Some practice background in Assurance or Tax would be favourable
Strong working knowledge of Corporation Tax
Strong technical skills and keen to develop further.
Ability to identify areas of risk, carry out an effective review and know when to refer upwards.
Client focused and commercially aware.
Ability to build strong client relationships.
Excellent communicator in range of situations both written and oral.
Relationship management skills with ability to manage client expectations.
Project management skills, plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines.
Contribute to the efficient and successful delivery of tax services to the client.
Team player; ability to integrate and build effective relationships at all levels.
Outgoing with good relationship skills and the ability to deliver quality output.
