Job Description

Job purpose:

The Compliance Officer will support the Head of Risk and Compliance, the Compliance Associate Manager and leadership in monitoring relationships and standards within the firm.

Your responsibilities: 

-   Develop and maintain internal and external relationships to promote understanding and compliance with regulatory legislation

-   Produce, monitor and update policies and procedures to comply with global and local legislation

-   Monitor and maintain the Compliance Monitoring Programme

-   Assistthe Compliance Associate Manager with regulatory requests and returns 

-   Monitor the collection and storage of client and employee data 

-   Produce board reports

-   Deliver new starter training and refresher training for current employees in both KPMG and  anti-money laundering requirements

-   Monitor ongoing screening of clients and relationships

-   Supportthe Money Laundering Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officers in both islands

-   Understand the necessity of KPMG to comply with global risk management requirements and the processes required to maintain compliance

-   Assist the compliance senior manager and other team members in the day-to-day running of the department

Candidate requirements: 

-   Knowledge of AML/compliance requirements in the Guernsey and/or Jersey finance sector

-   At least two year’s experience in a similar role

-   TheICA International Diploma in Anti Money Laundering or the ICA International Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance would be beneficial but are not essential

-   Strong organisational and prioritisation skills

-   Experience in generating and monitoring regular reports

-   Strong interpersonal and team working skills

-   Flexibility to travel between the islands as needed

-   Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programmes

-   Language requirements – strong spoken, listening and written English
