EMPLOYMNENT TAX MANAGER BELFAST

Job Description

We ideally need you to have the following:

  • Qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation or Qualified accountant (Chartered Accountant or equivalent) or qualified solicitor keen to develop a career in tax desirable;
  • Good technical skills and knowledge of Employment taxes, Expat taxes, Private Client taxes, or Reward taxes;
  • At least 5 years of relevant tax experience;
  • Ability to delegate to, manage and review trainee/senior work on allocated clients;

Your work will be varied. Below will be some of your core responsibilities:

  • Assisting clients with PAYE/NIC reviews and HMRC PAYE audits;
  • Advising clients in relation to their PAYE withholding obligations in respect of remuneration, benefits in kind, expenses, share remuneration, termination payments;
  • Advising on residency and taxation issues with regard to employees both coming into and leaving the UK;
  • Liaising with colleagues across the firm to prepare the Employment Taxes section of tax due diligence reports;
  • Supervising and dealing with the annual taxation affairs of a portfolio of private clients including meeting with and corresponding with both the clients and HMRC.
